The Kremlin has denied reports that US President-elect Donald Trump has spoken with Vladimir Putin in recent days. There are no specific plans for talks at the moment.
This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Reuters.
“This is completely untrue. This is pure fiction. This is just false information,” Dmitry Peskov told reporters. - “There was no such conversation.
According to him, this is allegedly “the most vivid example of the quality of the information that is now being published, sometimes even in quite respected publications.”
Peskov told reporters that there are no “concrete plans” for contacts between Putin and Trump, as Putin said at the Valdai Club meeting in Sochi.
Earlier, the Washington Post reported that Putin and Trump spoke on November 7 and discussed the goal of peace in Europe. According to the newspaper, Trump advised Putin not to escalate the war in Ukraine and reminded him of the significant US military presence in Europe.
