It is noted that the drone is the latest development, which should primarily enhance the operational capabilities of the French armed forces.

Work on the drone began relatively recently - in May 2022. Colibri's manufacturers focused on integrating a cost-effective, operationally active charge into an unmanned system capable of detecting and neutralizing targets within a 5 kilometer radius.

It is also known that the drone will be equipped with a guided fragmentation charge that provides high lethality against both static and dynamic targets. This system offers a versatile and effective solution for various combat scenarios.

According to media reports, the barrage munition will receive a 40-mm warhead from the French manufacturer Nexter Arrowtech.

Probably, the Colibri prototype is another drone, the UX11, which was created for photogrammetric purposes. This drone has a one-piece polystyrene body and a wingspan of 1.1 meters. It is propelled by a two-blade pusher rotor and an electric motor located at the rear of the wing.

The UX11 weighs 1.5 kg with a payload, has an autonomy of 80 minutes, and a cruising speed of 54 km/h. The deployment of such a vehicle takes only 5 minutes. The UX11 can climb to an altitude of 6,000 meters.
