The Organization of American States joined the peace summit

The Organization of American States joined the communiqué of the peace summit, which took place on June 15-16 in Switzerland. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi during an evening address on Wednesday, June 19.

"The representation of the American continent, in particular Latin America, has increased. It is already officially the Organization of American States, which unites the countries of both Americas, North and South. And also the island state of Antigua and Barbuda," the president said.

He also noted that the format of the peace summit and the communique, which was joined by a number of countries, would ensure "fair treatment of each state."

"We perceive the whole world as equals, and this is our ideological difference from Russia in international relations. We respect every nation, count on every voice in cooperation between peoples. That's how the UN Charter was built — so that all states matter," Zelensky emphasized.
