The Pentagon has extended the contract with Elon Musk's SpaceX to provide Starlink Internet services in Ukraine for another six months, until November 30. This was announced by Space Systems Command spokeswoman Bonnie Poindexter.
The deal is worth $14.1 million. It provides access to Starlink satellites, equipment, and customer support on the terms agreed upon during the negotiations.
As of the end of 2022, officials reported that Ukraine had received 10,000 Starlink terminals.
The U.S. military has praised the Starlink terminals, which have provided high-speed Internet connectivity for critical communications among the Ukrainian military as well as civilians since the great war.
