The US authorities do not yet have sufficient information about the whereabouts of Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin and his mercenaries who took part in the coup in Russia last weekend.
This was stated by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, during a briefing, CNN reported.
"We don't have information that we consider reliable enough to confirm his (Prigozhin's - ed.) whereabouts," Kirby said.
He recalled the Pentagon's recent statement that some of Wagner's fighters are still in Ukraine, but "it's unclear how many and what they are doing."
"We have no clear idea where Mr. Prigozhin or all of his fighters are," Kirby added.
