The US does not support Ukraine's strikes outside its territory

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken believes that Ukraine should be helped to defend itself, but he does not consider the strikes of Ukrainian drones, in particular, on oil refineries in Russia, to be justified.

Blinken said this at a joint press conference with French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné in Paris, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"From the very beginning, our position was that when it comes to Ukraine, we must do everything possible to help it defend itself against Russian aggression. But we do not support or encourage Ukrainian strikes outside its territory," Blinken said.

At the same time, his French colleague Séjourné commented on his country's position as follows:. "We believe that it is Russia that is the aggressor, and under these circumstances, we have few other comments," said Séjourné. "I believe you have understood me correctly," he added.

Prior to the talks with Séjourné, the US Secretary of State and Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, visited the plant that produces Caesar guns for Ukraine. The Secretary of State's visit to Paris will conclude with a reception with President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.

Dear Blinken, tell us how we can defend ourselves without attacking Russia's infrastructure, economy, and military capabilities?

Our attacks reduce the enemy's ability to produce weapons. We don't attack civilians; we undermine their economy.

Maybe you should pass legislation to give aid to Ukraine.
