The issue of escorting ships with Ukrainian grain in the Black Sea after Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal is not being actively discussed.
This was stated by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator of the White House National Security Council, in an interview with Voice of America.
According to the White House representative, there is no active discussion about the deployment of warships to the Black Sea.
"I think we all understand that this will only increase tensions and increase the possibilities for a potential conflict between the West and Russia, and this is not what we want. We want the grain to get out (of Ukraine to the foreign market - Ed.)," Kirby said.
He added that the United States is committed to extending the grain deal while working with allies and partners to "find other land or perhaps river routes if any are available."
