The White House: One of the US priorities is to avoid World War III

Jun 1, 2023

The administration of US President Joe Biden has three key priorities over the past 15 months, one of which is to prevent World War III.

This was stated at a briefing by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator of the US National Security Council, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

Kirby called support for Ukraine one of the priorities, recalling the announced new military aid package.

The second priority, according to Kirby, is to support US NATO allies. He noted that the US side has increased its presence to 100,000 troops in Europe to ensure that it fulfills its commitments to NATO's eastern flank.

"And the third is to avoid World War III... I think we can all agree that a war that actually involves the West, NATO, and the United States is not only not in the interests of our national security, but it is not in the interests of the Ukrainian people. It is not good for people across Europe. It's certainly not good for the Russian people," Kirby added.
