Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's confidant Ron Dermer met with US President-elect Donald Trump. The purpose of the talks was to inform the latter about Israel's plans for action in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Iran for the next two months.

“One of the things the Israelis wanted to discuss with Trump was which issues he would like to see resolved by January 20 and which ones can wait,” the source said.

The agency's interlocutors said that the meeting also discussed the ceasefire, a plan for the development of Gaza after the war, and the prospects for normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

According to an Axios source, Dermer also met with former Trump adviser Jared Kushner.

U.S. officials noted that Netanyahu had informed the administration of current U.S. President Joe Biden in advance of Dermer's planned meeting with Trump.
