Ukraine and the US plan to establish a joint venture

"Ukroboronprom and the American company Amentum Services are planning to establish a joint venture. It is about potential cooperation on the restoration and maintenance of American-made armored vehicles.

This was reported by Ukroboronprom.

"The Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company has signed a Memorandum of Intent to establish a joint venture with Amentum Services, Inc (USA), one of the leading companies in the field of global design, project management and solution integration," the statement said.

Earlier, representatives of the American company visited Ukroboronprom enterprises, assessed their existing capabilities, technical base and potential.

It is reported that Ukrainian armorers expect new partners to help them obtain technical documentation, equipment and spare parts that will be useful during the repair and maintenance of US-made armored combat vehicles.

The Memorandum was signed by Director General German Smetanin on behalf of Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC and Joe Dunaway, President of Executive Operations, Critical Missions Division, on behalf of Amentum Services, Inc. The signing of the Memorandum was also attended by Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker.

Earlier, on June 10, the first joint workshop for the repair and production of German armored vehicles in Ukraine was opened as part of a joint venture with Rheinmetall.
