Ukraine expects €1.9 billion under the Ukraine Facility program

Ukraine expects to receive €1.9 billion this month under the Ukraine Facility program, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

According to the minister, after the IMF Executive Board approves the fourth revision of the Extended Fund Facility program, Ukraine expects another $2.2 billion.

Shmyhal said that since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has already attracted $11.8 billion in external financing.

"Over the past week, our partners have also announced support for the Ukrainian energy system worth more than $1 billion. The United States is providing $500 million in additional energy assistance through USAID and redirecting another $324 million to restore energy infrastructure," Shmyhal added.

He said that Norway will contribute $74 million to Ukraine's energy sustainability, part of which will be used to repair facilities in Kharkiv and the region.

He also said that the Canadian government would invest $14.5 million in the Ukrainian energy sector.
