The Government of Ukraine is consulting with partners regarding the provision of additional air defense systems to protect the Dniester HPP.
This was said by Energy Minister German Galushchenko, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Suspilne.
At the Congress of local and regional councils, Galushchenko said that there had already been several attempts to attack this facility. In connection with this, the government has started negotiations with Western partners to provide anti-aircraft defense to protect the Dniester HPP.
"If something happens to this object, it will affect not only Ukraine. I hope that the Western partners will agree to provide the necessary means of air defense," the minister said.
