Ukraine is an active participant in a number of international maritime exercises, the main purpose of which is to improve skills in the detection and disposal of mines in the aquatic environment. Dmytro Pletenchuk, the spokesman of the Armed Forces Navy, noted that the "Sea Breeze-2024" exercises will not be the only ones planned for this year in which our country will participate.

"The anti-mine issue remains the main issue for us because there are anti-mine ships outside our water area, on which Ukrainian sailors are already serving. They must undergo an appropriate assessment of compatibility in order to carry out joint tasks in the future. Yes, now for us, the Black Sea is closed, but the preparation of crews takes years," Pletenchuk noted.
