German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock says that Ukraine's membership in NATO is currently out of the question as Russia's aggressive war continues.
She said this before an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Oslo, Spiegel reports.
According to the German Foreign Minister, the Alliance's doors are open to accept new members. This applies primarily to Sweden, but also to Ukraine.
"At the same time, it is also clear that we cannot talk about new membership in the midst of a war," Burbock said, commenting on Ukraine's accession
