Ukraine will receive €1.5 billion in July from frozen Russian assets

During the summit in Italy, the G7 countries agreed to send about $50 billion to Ukraine by the end of the year. These funds will be repaid from future profits received from frozen Russian assets.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the European Union has separately approved the allocation of profits from frozen Russian assets in the amount of 1.5 billion euros.

"Ukraine is expected to receive the funds in July 2024. 90% will be used for military needs, 10% for recovery," the statement said.
