Beijing and Washington are preparing to hold a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

According to the publication, the parties are now discussing the possibility of a trip to Washington by Xi Jinping's chief economic policy aide, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China He Lifeng. He may become the most senior Chinese official to visit the United States since the beginning of Biden's presidency.

At the same time, according to journalists, the United States and China are now planning a visit to Washington in October by China's top diplomat and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. This is necessary to prepare for the Biden-Xi Jinping summit.

It is worth noting that relations between China and the United States have been tense for a long time.

In particular, the foreign policy of the two countries is very different, including with regard to Russia's war against Ukraine. The United States actively supports Ukraine and provides it with military assistance, while China refuses to condemn the Russian invasion and continues to cooperate with the aggressor.
