Moldovan President Maia Sandu delivered a strong statement of support for Ukraine at the Peace Summit in Switzerland. She emphasized the principles that should form the basis of a just and sustainable peace - respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Sandu strongly rejected any attempts to impose capitulation or occupation on Ukraine as a basis for peace. The leader of the country asked a rhetorical question: whether anyone present at the summit believed that giving up part of their territories could ensure lasting peace.

"We all want peace. But what defines peace? We know what is not peace. Surrender is not peace, and occupation is not peace. And it can never be the basis for peace. Does anyone here at this summit believe that giving up part of their territories will ensure lasting peace?" she said at the conference.

The Moldovan president called on all the participants of the summit to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and support its efforts to defend its land and restore peace. She emphasized that peace must be strong and based on the principles of international law.

Sandu assured that Moldova will continue to make efforts to restore peace in Ukraine, which will be based on the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"Ukrainian peace is Moldova's peace. In this interconnected world, peace cannot exist only in one country. We have a common future for everyone," the president summarized.
