The primary source of information that Russia had launched an offensive in the Kursk region for the first time was Russian pro-war publics. The day before, the Rybar Telegram channel, which is close to the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that after the front was stabilized, local counterattacks began in several areas. One of them was south of the village of Koreneve, where Ukrainian forces were allegedly driven out of the forest belt.
According to other public reports, on September 10, Russians regained control of the villages of Hordiivka, Vnezapne, Viktorivka and Byakhove. The offensive is being conducted from the direction of Hlushkivsky district.
According to other information, Ukrainian forces were partially driven out of the villages of Apanasivka and Snahost. In addition, one of the groups was allegedly encircled in the village of Krasnooktyabrske, which blocked the Russian army's land connection with the territories south of the Seim River.
On the night of September 11, videos of the assault on Snahosti appeared on social media. One of the videos showed a convoy of about a dozen armored vehicles approaching it from Korenevo. It was reported to have entered and allegedly entrenched itself in the village.
