U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly stated his intention to end Russia's war against Ukraine. But he will not be able to force Ukraine to make concessions.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the South Korean TV channel KBS.
According to him, the new US president can either strengthen support for Ukraine or weaken it.
Zelensky noted that weakening support would allow Russia to occupy more Ukrainian territory and prevent Ukraine from winning the war.
“Therefore, we are not talking about compromises and territories, we are talking about the fact that there may be certain diplomatic ways, but they depend on US policy, if it does not weaken, and the desire of the United States to really end the war quickly,” the president added.
The Head of State reminded that “Trump declared that he is a man of action and wants to end the war quickly and find some model.”
“But if Trump, if he wins, wants to force Ukraine to give up everything to reach an agreement with Russia, I don't think it's possible today,” Zelenskyy emphasized.-
