Zelensky compares Trump to Reagan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. Moreover, he compared Trump to his predecessor and the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the president's Telegram channel.
“In general, it was extremely important for us in Ukraine and throughout Europe to hear the words of the then 45th President of the United States about peace through strength. And when this becomes the policy principle of the 47th President of the United States, America and the whole world will definitely benefit from it,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
He noted that today is a truly special day and emphasized that around the world, only one news attracts everyone's attention.
“It is not for nothing that Ronald Reagan is so often mentioned now - people want confidence, they want freedom, they want a normal life. And for us, this is a life without Russian aggression and with a strong America, a strong Ukraine, and strong allies. This year, we have already spoken with President Trump on the phone in July and in person at a meeting in September, and these were good conversations,” Zelenskyy emphasized.-
It should be noted that Donald Trump is indeed often compared to his predecessor Ronald Reagan. They do share some similarities in terms of their political approaches.
