Zelensky promises to fulfill all EU requirements to start negotiations
Zelenskyy promised that Ukraine, for its part, would fulfill all the criteria of the European Commission necessary to start negotiations on joining the EU.
The head of state said this in an address following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, a Yevropeiska Pravda correspondent reports.
According to the President, the National Security and Defense Council discussed the tasks that need to be completed by the end of the year in order to fully implement each recommendation of the European Commission to start negotiations on EU accession.
"The National Security and Defense Council gave the necessary protocol instructions in each of these areas. I am confident that all of them can be fulfilled. Today is exactly one year since Ukraine became a candidate for EU membership. And this year the goal is to start negotiations on membership. Ukraine will definitely do its part," Zelenskyy assured.
