President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that the long-awaited counteroffensive in the summer and fall did not bring the expected breakthroughs, but stressed that Ukraine is not retreating and that it needs help in increasing domestic arms production.

Direct speech: "Look, we are not retreating, I am satisfied. We are fighting the second (most powerful - ed.) army in the world, and I am satisfied. We are losing people, I am not satisfied. We didn't get all the weapons we wanted, I can't be satisfied, but I can't complain too much either...

We wanted faster results. From this point of view, unfortunately, we did not achieve the desired results. And this is a fact...

We do not have enough strength to achieve the desired results faster. But this does not mean that we should give up, that we should give up. We are confident in our actions. We are fighting for what is ours."
