Zelenskyy passed on the Kremlin's plans to conquer Moldova to Sandu

Feb 9, 2023

Ukrainian intelligence intercepted the Kremlin's plans to take control of Moldova, and President Zelenskyy immediately passed all the information to his colleague, President Maia Sandu.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at an EU summit in Brussels on Thursday, the European Pravda correspondent reports.

"I recently spoke with Moldovan President Ms. Sandu and informed her of what our intelligence managed to intercept: a detailed Russian plan to destroy the political situation in Moldova. A Russian document that shows who, when and as a result of what actions are going to break Moldova, the democratic order of this country, and establish its control over it," Zelenskyy said.

He noted that he did not hesitate for a minute to warn Moldova of these threats in order to protect it.

"We don't know if there was an order in Moscow to act on this plan against Moldova. But we saw what they were going to do. We recognized in this exactly what they have already tried to do against Ukraine, and against other states, particularly in Europe. Nothing new," the head of state said.

According to Zelenskyy, the Russian regime has only one aspiration - to destroy the freedom of Europe.
