The air leak on the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) has doubled.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding the statement of the head of the NASA program on the ISS Joel Montalbano during a briefing dedicated to the new mission on the ISS Crew-8
"We are seeing a small leak in the tail section of the ISS. We saw the leak increase about a week before the last launch of the Progress (Russian spacecraft - ed.) and its docking with the station," Montalbano said.
He noted that NASA is working with Russian colleagues on the next steps, but "right now it does not seriously affect the safety of the crew."
According to Montalbano, the air in the transition chamber of the Russian module "Zorya" began to escape twice as fast.
