Biden and Xi Jinping to meet at the G20 summit
US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet this month. The leaders will visit Rio de Janeiro during the G20 summit.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
She noted that the Chinese leader will visit Lima from November 13 to 17 at the invitation of the Peruvian president. Xi Jinping will attend the 31st APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
After that, the Chinese leader will visit Rio de Janeiro from November 17 to 21 to participate in the 19th G20 summit.
The office of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva reported on a recent conversation with US President Joe Biden. The American leader confirmed that he will come to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro.
The leaders of the United States and China are expected to hold a bilateral meeting in Rio de Janeiro.
