The Canadian Ministry of Defense has confirmed the transfer of NASAMS air defense system to Ukraine. The system is already in Poland.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair.
“We worked closely with the Americans and Raytheon to assemble this system and deliver it,” he said.
According to Blair, the air defense system is now in Poland and should be shipped across the border soon.
The minister also reminded that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had previously had a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, informing him of the imminent arrival of NASAMS.
“We are working with Ukrainians to deliver this system purchased by Canada for Ukraine as soon as possible. I expect that we will be able to say much more soon,” the Canadian defense minister intrigued.-
