According to Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, the government is closely monitoring the situation on the eastern border and will make appropriate decisions on (continued closure or opening of) border posts no later than next Wednesday.
This is reported by Yle, Ukrinform reports.
The Prime Minister also did not give a forecast on the content of the decision.
"We continue to monitor the situation daily, and the goal is to return to normal life. We are glad that everything is fine now, but a decision will be made in due course," Orpo told reporters in parliament.
Last week, Finland completely closed its eastern border. The decision will remain in effect until Wednesday, December 13. If necessary, the decision to close the border can be canceled even before that, or a decision can be made to extend the closure.
