The raid by Russian volunteers on the territory of the Belgorod region sowed discord among Russian elites. The leaders of the PMC and the federal states criticized the regime and each other in order to gain political weight.
This was stated by political strategist Oleg Posternak on the air of Apostrophe TV.

"Prigozhin is now doing everything possible to ensure that information about the events in the Belgorod region is spread by Russia. In fact, by doing so, he is contributing to the RDC's activities and showing the helplessness of the FSB and the authorities," Posternak said.
According to him, Prigozhin is thus creating an image of a political leader and accumulating potential for future elections. On the other hand, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov also offered his services, which makes him stand out against the backdrop of the Russian authorities' silence.
"The Kremlin does not comment on events in order not to give them too much weight. This is typical KGB behavior. Most likely, this is how they will react to the liberation of other territories. The propaganda machine is not silent. If it is silent, it will create the impression that the government has withdrawn. This will destroy the trust between the population and the government. Therefore, propaganda will comment on the situation in a controlled manner. This is an element of large-scale manipulation. Therefore, critical statements by propaganda are not a protest, but a controlled activity aimed at maintaining trust in the government," the expert emphasized.-
But, according to Posternak, the Russian revolt may come out of the blue. Putin is already irritating some of the Russian elite and population. However, this is mainly in the cities. Meanwhile, the Russian hinterland is still a base of support for Putin.
