German Chancellor Olaf Scholz dismissed Finance Minister Christian Lindner. There is a possibility of a coalition collapse in the country.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bild and Welt and ZDF.
According to the publication, Scholz fired Lindner at about 20:30. This means that the Free Democratic Party (FDP), of which the Minister of Finance is a member, is leaving the “traffic light” coalition. It also consists of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (Scholz's party) and the Green Party.
Bild specifies that Scholz was probably ahead of the FDP, as the party planned to break the coalition agreement with the SPD and the Greens, as well as recall its ministers.
By the way, according to German media, at today's crisis meeting, Lindner suggested that Scholz hold early elections to the Bundestag, but the chancellor refused to do so.
