Scholz and Trump discuss restoring peace in Europe

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has a phone conversation with US President-elect Donald Trump. The parties agreed to work to restore peace in Europe.
This was stated by the spokesman of the federal government Steffen Gebestreit, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Ukrinform.
Gebestreit said that the conversation took place on Sunday evening, November 10. According to him, during the phone conversation, Scholz once again personally congratulated Trump on his election victory. The two leaders also discussed German-American relations and current geopolitical challenges. In particular, peace in Europe.
“The Chancellor emphasized the federal government's readiness to continue the successful cooperation between the two governments that has been in place for decades. They also agreed to work together to restore peace in Europe,” the spokesperson added.
