The State Border Guard Service has reported on the situation on the border with Poland and Slovakia, which is being blocked by local carriers.
This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, as quoted by Ukrinform.
According to him, as of Friday morning, about 2,100 trucks are waiting to enter Ukraine on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
The longest queues are in front of the Shehyni and Rava-Ruska checkpoints, Demchenko added.
He also noted that thousands of vehicles are waiting to cross the border to Poland.
He informed me that over the past day, the Polish side at the Yagodyn checkpoint accepted no more than 20 trucks for entry.
"If we talk about Rava-Ruska and Krakivets, then until November 6, about 600 trucks crossed the border in both directions per day. Now this number has decreased by half or even three times," said Demchenko.
Regarding the situation on the border with Slovakia, the SBGS spokesman noted that there are about 600 trucks in the queues at the Uzhhorod-Vysne Nemecke checkpoint.
