A few hours ago, it was reported that Donald Trump had a phone call with Vladimir Putin to discuss the war, and that Ukraine was allegedly informed in advance. Kyiv, in turn, denies this information.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Reuters.
In particular, The Washington Post, citing sources, wrote that on Thursday, November 7, US President-elect Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone and discussed the war in Ukraine. The publication said that Kyiv was informed about the call and did not object to the conversation taking place.
However, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi told Reuters that this information is not true and that the Ukrainian side knew nothing about it.
“Reports that the Ukrainian side was informed in advance about the alleged call are false. Accordingly, Ukraine could not have approved or opposed the call,” he said.
