US Navy repels Yemeni Houthis attack

While passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, US warships shot down drones and missiles fired by Yemeni Houthis. American Abraham Lincoln aircraft were involved in the operation to repel the strikes.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) and Reuters.

According to US Department of Defense spokesman Major General Patrick Ryder, on Monday, two warships were attacked by at least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles and three anti-ship cruise missiles.

A Pentagon spokesman said that U.S. warships had shot down the enemy munitions and that the ships were not damaged.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Houthis reported two operations against American warships in the Red and Arabian Seas, which allegedly lasted 8 hours, Reuters reports.

A militant spokesman also said that the first operation targeted an American aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, which was hit by several missiles and drones. The second was against two American destroyers in the Red Sea.

According to a Pentagon spokesman, he is not aware of any attacks on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.
