One of the points of Ukraine's Internal Resilience Plan is cultural sovereignty. It is proposed to assemble a large coalition in the format of a “cultural Ramstein.”
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing his speech in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to Zelensky, this item is being worked out together with the Ukrainian cultural community.
“When we were preparing the conceptual framework for the Resilience Plan, we held a series of meetings with various Ukrainian figures. At one of the meetings, a format was proposed that could be very productive for updating Ukrainian cultural policy,” he said.
According to him, in fact, it was proposed to gather a large cultural coalition on a regular basis, all those who have a vision for cultural policy in Ukraine, know what solutions can help, and most importantly, have proven to be effective with their experience.
“We are implementing a 'cultural Ramstein' format for Ukraine. Mr. Minister Mykola Tochytskyi will present the details,” he said.-
The President said that Ukraine literally needs a calendar of events for Ukrainian culture - in all regions of the world, for the whole year.
“So that we can purposefully and systematically support Ukrainian content, Ukrainian cultural product at the state level. We need cultural diplomacy - the active promotion of our Ukrainian narratives through cultural and artistic projects abroad,” he said.-
Zelenskyy noted the need for purposeful, systematic creation of our Ukrainian content, which can completely replace Russian content.
“This is an investment in the creation of a Ukrainian cultural product for different social groups and age groups. First of all, for children. And this is a question of both sustainability and security. We must outplay Russia in this,” Zelensky stated.-
