President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the international community for supporting Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine needs not just diplomatic support but also enough weapons to defend itself against Russian aggression.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the President's address to the summit of the European Political Community.
“We are defending ourselves not from Russian words, but from Russian attacks. Therefore, we need enough weapons, not support in negotiations. Hugs with Putin will not help,” Zelenskyy said.
The President drew attention to the fact that some world leaders have been trying to find a common language with the Russian dictator for many years, but this has only worsened the situation.
“Some of you have been hugging him for 20 years, and things are only getting worse. He thinks only of wars and will not change. Only pressure can limit him,” he emphasized.-
