President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington on Wednesday, July 10.

This was reported by the Office of the President.

Zelensky noted that in the face of Russia's massive shelling, it is important to supply air defense systems.

"The announcement of the supply of additional Patriot systems is important, and we are grateful to Germany and our partners for this step. At the same time, we need more help to counter Russian air strikes: more air defense systems and F-16 aircraft," he added.

The leaders of Ukraine and Germany condemned the Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, and Zelenskyy thanked Germany for its willingness to accept its patients.

The parties also discussed the situation at the front, the results of the first Peace Summit, and the use of frozen Russian assets.
