Chief of the Polish General Staff arrives in Kyiv

On July 4, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Wieslaw Kukula arrived in Kyiv. He arrived in the capital at the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the General Staff of Poland and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Poland, General Wieslaw Kukula, began a working meeting in Kyiv by laying a bouquet of flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of those who died for Ukraine," the Polish General Staff said in a statement.

It is noted that the general paid a visit to Ukraine at the invitation of Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky.

"This is another important meeting between the two commanders, which demonstrates solidarity and cooperation between Poland and our eastern neighbor in the face of Russian aggression," the General Staff added.

At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that the generals held fruitful talks to strengthen cooperation in countering Russian aggression.

"Poland has been a reliable partner of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. We appreciate Poland's military and technical assistance and diplomatic support. We are also grateful for the assistance in training our units that have already come to the defense of the state. We can defeat the aggressor only together," Syrsky said.
