In Lithuania, the volunteer organization Blue/Yellow, together with former President Dalia Grybauskaite, has launched a new charity campaign "Greetings from Lithuania" to raise money for the purchase of Lithuanian drones for Ukraine.

This was reported by the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT.

The campaign will last throughout the summer and aims to purchase and send as many Lithuanian-made drones to the Ukrainian front as possible.

"Ukraine is our common front, where each of us can be a heavy fist for the aggressor. Let's send our Lithuanian drones into battle to fight the enemy on our behalf. Let's fight for life, for victory, for the future," said former Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, who is the patron of the Greetings from Lithuania campaign.

During the campaign, every person or company that donates 500 euros will have the opportunity to send a personalized drone to Ukraine with greetings from Lithuania.

Drones have become perhaps the most important tool in the fight, and the more Ukrainians have them, the faster they will liberate their lands from the occupiers. This action will also support Lithuanian business, as the drones will be purchased from local suppliers. This is another opportunity to show that Lithuania and its people are ready to act concretely and effectively," says Jonas Oman, co-founder of Blue/Yellow.

On the Ukrainian front, drones are being used to perform a wide range of tasks, including reconnaissance, target detection, communications, and direct participation in combat operations. Reconnaissance drones help to detect enemy positions and movements, while combat drones can be armed and used to destroy targets.

"In the first half of this year alone, we have purchased and sent to Ukraine more than 2,000 drones - from small FPVs to large and specialized ones for specific missions. Of course, this is not enough, so we are looking to add at least a few hundred more drones this month," says Laura Paukste, Director of Blue/Yellow.
