Ukraine and the United Kingdom have been and will remain reliable allies, Zelenskyy said.

"We will continue to defend and promote our common values - life, freedom, and a rules-based international order," the president said.

He wished the new British government every success both in domestic affairs and in strengthening the UK's leadership on the world stage.

"I look forward to working closely together to strengthen the Ukrainian-British partnership and restore international peace and security," Zelenskyy said.

He thanked Rishi Sunak, who will be stepping down, for the UK government's continued support under his leadership.

"Challenger tanks, Storm Shadow missiles, training of our pilots on F-16s and the first bilateral security agreement are just some of our joint achievements that Ukraine will never forget. Thank you, Rishi," the President said.
