North Korea may send 10,000 to 100,000 troops to the war in Ukraine to help Russia.
This was stated by military expert Oleksiy Hetman in a commentary for the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
“Given that the North Koreans do not reckon with anything. They have more than a million-strong army, half a million, for example, as many as there are now slightly more Russians on the front line, it is quite possible to assume that they can send them to this war,” Hetman said.
According to him, the DPRK is well aware that South Korea will not attack them.
“Most likely, although everything can happen. But I'm speaking conditionally. North Korea is a small country in terms of size. But their army is about the same size as the Russian army. And so, even if it's not half a million, but even 10, 20, 30, 100 thousand, it's quite possible that they can do it,” the expert said.-
In his opinion, this will definitely be a big problem for Ukraine. After all, the additional forces are not likely to be dispersed among different units of the Russian army. It will be a separate unit if they take part in hostilities.
“But it is quite possible that these soldiers will be involved in the rear, not on the front line. And then those (Russian military - ed.) who are now involved in the rear, they can be moved directly to the front line,” added Hetman.-
