The Russian Federation (RF) may resume massive shelling of the Ukrainian energy sector in the near future. This is likely to happen with the start of the heating season.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), during the opening of the Energy in Industry 2024 exhibition, as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.

“With the start of the heating season, we can expect massive Russian strikes on the energy sector,” he said.

Lytvynenko added that during a full-scale war with the enemy, the Ukrainian energy sector has demonstrated the ability to implement innovative solutions, and the enemy's plans to destroy Ukraine's economy are not achieving their goal.
