Belarus and Russia continue to send illegal immigrants to Latvia

The State Border Guard of Latvia prevented 128 attempts to illegally cross the Latvian-Belarusian border on September 21.
This is stated in the report of the LETA agency.
In September, as in late August, the number of migrants refused to cross the Latvian border often exceeded 100 people a day.
In total, this year Latvian border guards prevented 8,951 attempts to illegally cross the border, and 341 people were allowed to enter Latvia on humanitarian grounds.
Last year, Latvian law enforcement officers prevented 5,286 attempts to illegally cross the border, and 217 people were allowed to enter Latvia on humanitarian grounds.
