Belgium confirmed its intention to provide Ukraine with F-16s in 2025

Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder has confirmed the country's intention to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets in 2025.

This is reported with reference to the Telegram of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with his Belgian counterpart Ludivine Dedonder. The ministers discussed the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, pilot training, and the supply of necessary equipment for the aircraft.

"We highly appreciate your unwavering support and comprehensive participation in the process of strengthening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Umerov emphasized.

According to him, it is now necessary to start the process of establishing supply chains for ammunition, spare parts, and technical equipment for the F-16.

In addition, Belgium has confirmed its intention to provide Ukraine with fighter jets in 2025.

The ministers also discussed the possibility of hosting representatives of the Belgian defense industry in Ukraine early next year.

As noted by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the total amount of technical assistance from the Kingdom of Belgium to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is more than 320 million euros.

Earlier, Ukraine's allies announced the creation of an Aviation Coalition to provide the country with modern fighters, including F-16s, led by the Netherlands and Denmark. In total, Ukraine is to receive at least 61 aircraft from Denmark and the Netherlands.
