Biden and Macron condemn Russian war

Dec 1, 2022

Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron on Thursday issued a joint statement condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine and promising the latter to help as much as necessary.

This was reported by the European Truth.

The leaders stressed that they do not recognize Russia's annexation of Ukrainian territories and condemn its steps to escalate the war in Ukraine - "in particular its irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and misinformation about likely chemical attacks and biological and nuclear weapons".

The statement notes that the U.S. and French presidents "reaffirm continued support for Ukraine's defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, particularly by providing political, security, humanitarian and economic assistance to Ukraine for as long as it needs."

"This refers to the provision of significant resources to sustain Ukrainian civilians during the winter, in particularly increased supplies of air defense systems and equipment needed to repair Ukraine's energy grid," Biden and Macron stressed.
