On Wednesday, the Ministers of Defense of the United Kingdom and Sweden, Ben Wallace and Paul Johnson, confirmed London's intention to purchase fourteen Swedish Archer self-propelled artillery systems to replace the equipment provided to Ukraine.
This was announced by the press service of the British Ministry of Defense.
During his visit to London, Jonson signed a letter of intent for a new contract to supply 14 Swedish-made Archer self-propelled artillery systems to the British Army, which was announced earlier in March.
"The acquisition of the Archer also allows the UK to support Ukraine by providing AS90 self-propelled guns to replace them until the arrival of the Artillery Mobile Fire Platform later this decade," the statement said.
The UK also announced the signing of a contract worth almost five million pounds to replenish the stockpile of weapons provided to Ukraine with Carl-Gustaf M4 rifles manufactured by the Swedish company Saab.
