British Foreign Secretary reacts to the explosion of Kakhovka HPP

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, who is in Ukraine, blamed the destruction of a dam in southern Ukraine on the Russian invasion.

This was reported by The Guardian.

"I heard reports of an explosion at the dam and the risk of flooding. It is too early to give any meaningful assessment of the details. But it's worth remembering that the only reason this is an issue at all is an unprovoked full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine," he said.

"We will continue to assess the evolving situation, but the best thing Russia can do right now is to withdraw its troops immediately," Mr. Cleverly emphasized.
