Bundestag delegation arrives in Georgia
A delegation of Bundestag deputies from the Committee on European Union Affairs has arrived in Georgia.

The German Embassy reported that the members of the committee will be in Georgia on a visit on May 2-5.
The delegation is headed by a representative of the Social Democrats, Christian Petry. It also includes Ralf Brinkhaus from the opposition CDU, Michael Sacher from the Greens, Thomas Hacker from the Free Democrats, and Harald Weiel from the right-wing populist AfD.
The main topic of the MPs' trip is the upcoming decision on Georgia's EU candidate status and the reforms necessary for this.
The MPs will meet with key ministers, Georgian MPs, and representatives of civil society.
"Against the backdrop of the war waged by Russia against Ukraine, they will also discuss agreements on foreign policy, security policy and the consequences of the war for the region," the German embassy said.
