Czech President allows several dozen citizens to join the Armed Forces

Czech President Petr Pavel has authorized several dozen Czech citizens to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the Czechs submitted almost 200 requests for permission.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Český rozhlas.

According to the press secretary of the head of state, Filip Platos, more than 180 Czechs have asked Pavel to allow them to join the Ukrainian army.

According to Czech law, citizens cannot participate in military or paramilitary formations abroad without the permission of the president.

Currently, according to the publication, it is known that President Pavel has authorized 60 citizens to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, there is no information on how many applications were rejected.
