Zelensky calls on the West to strengthen sanctions against Russia

Nov 4, 2024

The Russian Federation is gradually increasing the activity of Shaheda attacks. The aggressor country still has the ability to use Western components, so sanctions should be strengthened.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing his evening address.

The head of state noted that in October, more than 2,000 Shaheds were used against Ukraine. The attacks took place literally every day.

“Such a number of Shaheds means more than 170 thousand components that should have been blocked from being supplied to Russia. Microcircuits, microcontrollers, processors, many different parts, without which this terror would simply be impossible,” the president said.

Zelensky specified that all this is supplied to Russia from abroad. Many micro-injections into Russia's constant terror come from companies in China, Europe, and America. This, in turn, brings the world back to the need to work much harder to control the export of special parts and resources. In particular, in order to prevent Russia from circumventing the sanctions that have long been imposed on the aggressor country for the war it started.

“It's the same with the Shaheds - with Russian missiles. They all contain components from other countries. To fight against Russian strikes means to fight for the strength of sanctions against Russia. Sanctions must increase and be effective. And every scheme to circumvent sanctions is a crime against people and the world,” Zelenskyy said.
