Czech Defense Minister Jana Černohová has said that Soviet-made Mi-24 helicopters, which the Czech Republic is replacing with American helicopters, could be used in Ukraine.
Chernokhova made the remarks on Thursday during an event at the Czech Air Force helicopter base near the city of Náměšť nad Oslavou, ČTK reports.
The Czech minister emphasized that the country cannot be financially dependent on risky resources from the East in the future, so it is important to both update military equipment and create opportunities for its repair.
She also noted the performance of Russian Mi-24V and Mi-35 helicopters, which have served longer than expected.
